Vendor charges (revised 1st January 2008)

Vendor commission: 15% subject to a minimum charge of £15

Insurance: 1.5% insurance charge on all lots

Unsold fees: £5 per lot

Carton and quantity lots: charged at 20% commission and subject to a minimum charge of £20

Reduced rates are negotiable on higher value single items or collections

Photography charges: 5% (plus VAT) of the hammer price up to a maximum of £25 (plus VAT). No charge for unsold lots.

VAT

All goods consigned for sale are sold under the Auctioneers Margin Scheme.

Zero-rated items (e.g. printed books, unframed maps) are NOT subject to VAT on the vendor commission, insurance or unsold lot charge.
All other items will be subject to a VAT (inclusive) charge on the vendor commission, insurance and unsold fees.
